Farewell Architects LLC is a full service architectural firm that specializes in educational and institutional projects. Led by Michael Farewell, FAIA, formerly Director of Design at Farewell Mills Gatsch Architects where he led the firm to national prominence in the design of theaters, university buildings, and schools, and Lorine Murray-Mechini, AIA, project manager for many of the significant works, the firm is committed to the highest level of architectural craft. The firm's approach is based in three core values; a conviction that understanding and interpreting the way people use buildings and landscapes is the ground for architectural ingenuity; a conviction that buildings must engage their environments in sustainable as well as expressive ways; and a belief that buildings, as long term constructs, must be well crafted to endure as part of the cultural landscape.

The twelve person firm includes architecture, planning, and interiors as core services. It provides expertise in both new building and work in existing and historic buildings. The firm works nationally, collaborates with other firms and consultants as needed, and actively publishes and promotes its innovative approaches and ideas.
